I waited a bit before posting about this episode, mostly just so I could sit back and see fan reactions. I knew it would be one of the more shocking webisodes, and it looks like I was right – the episode has surpassed 200,000 hits on MySpace alone in just 2 days.

Some fans wanted to know if my character was a lesbian, but I think most were pretty on the nose – no, Taryn Monaghan isn’t a lesbian, she’s just willing to do ANYTHING to get into Phi Kappa – no matter what it takes. All in all, it was written to further my character’s development, not as just gratuitous “girl on girl”…but quite frankly, I want to know what you all think, because it’s very tough in micro-series to allow back story.

As far as behind-the-scenes juice goes, at first I was really nervous about the scene (I even asked the directors if I could have a shot to loosen me up but unfortunately it was only 10am and that would have been a little ridiculous).

I read a comment last night on the MySpace boards from someone who thinks I’m not a pretty crier. Ha ha! Unfortunately, they don’t teach you how to “cry pretty” in acting class….maybe I should work on that ;-) *wink*

Aww Jess and Joaquin look so cute! Excuse me, Julie. I get so confused talking about the characters because two of us (Joaquin and I) have character names that are the same as our own. Anyway, this was a sad scene to shoot – if you’ve ever felt completely and utterly alone and humiliated, then this is exactly what this episode is about…

They really are raunchy over there…gotta love the good peeps at NGTV!!

Ahh yes, Taryn the thief (Taryn the character, not me of course!!!) We shot this scene so many times I got a GREAT workout running up and down the streets of Spokane!! Poor Matthew. Stuck with the revelation of his girlfriend being hooked on diet pills AND shoplifting.

Yeaaah – Matthew and I getting dirty in the medical lab….haha. Actually it’s rather tame…they took out the CU’s of my chest :) The second part of the video was actually never scripted (gotta hand it to Mikaela to use the word “hooknasty” and it becomes the title of the video!!)

Description: The pledges compete in the lip sync contest but Madison takes it a little too far.

This was such a fun one to shoot – Mikaela (Madison) actually choreographed the dance since she’s the most choreographed of all of us, but we learned it in about 30 minutes before shooting. We were all getting frustrated and worried we wouldn’t get it together in time – that’s why I think Jess’s look is especially funny. If her character was pissed about dancing in a lip sync contest, I think she probably was too..

Yeah! This was actually my favorite episode to film – even though I got all yucky from the beer…aka…apple juice :) I probably had to dance with the guy in the video 30 times, and we couldn’t stop laughing…
